We’ll admit it: we’ve never been too keen on hard seltzers, but the craft version with actually good flavors from Philadelphia’s own Two Robbers is in a league of its own! Come try some of their boozy, extremely drinkable seltzers with us on Tuesday, September 3, from 6:30 - 8 p.m.
TACOS AND CIDER!! A bunch of people from ANXO Cider are coming up from Washington DC to hang with us and drink and eat a bunch. Come crush some delightful ciders Anxo and enjoy 4 kinds of tacos: Anxo’s chef Alex will be hanging in our kitchen making their Basque Talos (Basque-style tacos), and we’ll be serving up Lunar Tacos — yes, there will be carnitas. Plus, enjoy sweet jams from DJ Bearbait (AKA Chris Ward)!!
You like free wine, you say? Come hang with Jason from MFW Wine Co., who reps some of our favorite labels in the shop (like Broc Cellars, Inconnu, Mariotti, and so many more). For our tasting on Tuesday, August 20, he’ll have a killer line up of sips for you to try. $0, just like every Tuesday.
We’re very excited to welcome Mainstay Independent Brewing to sample of their excellent brews, which are made just down the way at their brewery on Delaware Ave.! These guys opened not too long ago and have already won us over with their great brews. Samples, hangs, good times, 6:30-8 p.m. Free!
We're channeling some Cali vibes with our buds from Lo-Fi Aperitifs during a chill Sunday brunch. We'll have hella good cocktails made with Lo-Fi's amaro and vermouths, food specials like breakfast tacos and smoked trout toast and a DJ set from friend-of-Lunar Chris Powell.
More wine!! Polaner Selections will come through to pour free tastes of some bottles that we have on the shelves at Tinys. What a great way to learn about wine and get to try a bunch of fun stuff at once! The tasting (which is free, as always) runs from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Guests 21+ only.
We’re welcoming Riley from The Artisan’s Cellar for this week’s tasting. She’ll be bringing along a bunch of wines that we frequently have on the shelves, with plenty of sips for everyone! This is a great way to try and learn more about some of our wines before committing to a whole bottle. The tasting is free (they always are) and runs from 6:30 to 8 p.m.
We are beyond stoked to welcome Drew Baker from Old Westminster Winery to The Lunar Inn! We'll celebrate with housemade pizza (meat & veg options) and beaucoup pours of a bunch of different pét-nats from this exciting natural wine maker from Maryland! No tickets, pay as you go, there will be some free samples, too. Food til 10, wine all night. DJ Hairfort keeping it punk from 8-midnight.
We can’t think of a better combo than craft cider and fancy corn dogs, so we’re putting them together with our friends from Shacksbury (from Vermont) and Fox & Son (in Reading Terminal Market here in Philly)! Jesse from Shacksbury will be in town, and he’ll be bringing a bunch of amazing ciders with him, including the infinitely crushable Pét-Nat Rosé and Twig Farm 2017. Fox & Son folks will take over our kitchen to make some delightful dogs.

Come enjoy pours of ciders from one of our favorite local cideries: Hale & True! From 6 to 10 p.m., owners Risa and Kerry McKenzie will be at Lunar, offering samples of their delicious modern ciders and spinning records! We’ll have their Hale to the Hop and The Standard ciders on draft (nearly impossible to find outside of their tasting room in Bella Vista).
The Lunar kitchen will offer a handful of cider-friendly food specials including a kick-ass BLT sandwich, black pepper and sage sausages from La Divisa Meats and Birchrun Hills Fat Cat cheese with apple jam.
